1. You should find the roots of the following functions by using iterative methods
(Bisection, Regula Falsi, Newton Raphson, Secant).
a. 𝑦 = 𝑥 2 − 5
b. 𝑦 = 𝑥 3 − 𝑥 2 + 2
c. 𝑦 = 8 − 4.5 (𝑥 − sin(𝑥))
2. You must define the interval, initial guess and maximum iteration by yourself and you
must write a paragraph that explains the differences between methods under same
conditions.
3. You do not need to copy MATLAB codes on your reports, you should find the error
value in every iteration, also the root value should be written.
