CHAPTER 5

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS, CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

This chapter presents the findings established and which were taken from

the specific objectives. Conclusions were presented and finally the

recommendations which were deemed and may be necessary in the upliftment

and further scrutiny of future researchers.

Findings

1. The OJT transaction and monitoring interns in their assigned offices,

viewing and printing interns report, keeping intern information/data

also monitoring their the daily-time-record, log of activities, and the

performance evaluation sheet.

2. Manual transaction/operation caused some intern failed to submit

their requirements like accomplishment report and Daily time record

on time, to fabricate the log of activities and to just time-in/time-out

but did not actually report to their respective offices.

3. The existing method of monitoring intern performance resulted to

misplacements of interns’ records and it takes time to find the

documents.
Conclusions

1. The system would automate the OJT transactions, thereby providing

online operation, interaction and convenience to the Supervisor and OJT

coordinator by lessening their work.

2. The data, records, and reports of the intern would be safe and secured

and also can track their record and see their progress all the way through the

program.

3. The system would facilitate the submission of intern in an organized,

correct and reliable OJT transaction/operation and real-time monitoring of intern

attendance and performance.

Recommendations

Based from the conclusion, the following recommendations are presented for

this study to be able to meet the technological advancement and changes in the

implementation of the proposed prototype; Development and Implementation of

a web-based system for Online Internship Management System for CBSUA-

Sipocot.

1. New and more effective way of monitoring OJT performance using online

transaction.

2. The system are displaying the performance of the interns in a graphical

representation and the total number of remaining hours. It also generates

Daily-Time-Record, Log of Activities, and lastly the Performance

Evaluation Sheet.
3. It will provide for a real-time monitoring of intern. Monitoring the OJT

performance includes identifying the total number of inters in every class

as well as identifying those who are not going to work.
