Monday, May 4th - Friday, May 8th.

Instructions: 
Print out the file called “At Home Learning Calendar Week 5”, each day work on the 
assignments set for the day and put a check every time you complete a task. You have 
7 days for completing the activities. 

How do I hand in my assignments? 


1. “Flipgrid”, “Nearpod”, “Kahoot”, “Quizlet”, “myOn”, “quill.org” and “Write and 
Improve”, and “Microsoft Forms”, “Edpuzzle” reports are sent directly to my 
teacher account, so you do not need to send any proof.  
2. Pages assigned on the books will be self-evaluated by you, using the correct 
answer sent on the platform. 
3. Any other document or task may be handed in via email

May 4: 
1. Reading:​ Log into ​www.richmondtogether.com​, click on “myOn” and read 
carefully the instructions on the project “ A Week of News May 4th- May 8th”. You 
will have to read an article per day and then answer the quiz at the end of the 
news.  
2. Writing:​ Choose one of the news assigned for this week and write a summary of 
one of the news of this week. Try to use “Word”, or “Google Docs” so that I can 
correct it using the “comments”. 

 

 
3. Science/Social:​ Log into Nearpod and answer the lesson about Mother’s Day:

4. Other content: ​Log into Quizlet and use the “flashcards” or “learn” option to learn 
the Vocabulary List 12. 

May 5:

have to read an article per day and then answer the quiz at the end of the news.

​ pen One Drive Week 5 and use the file “Mother’s Day Coupons”, 
fill them out with something you want or can do for you mom e.g. do the dishes, 
cook breakfast, etc. If you cannot print out the coupon, you can design it by hand 
and give it to your mom. Send pictures of your coupons or write on the file and 
take a screenshot for you to send it to me.

have joined the class, look for the assignment, watch the video, read the

1. Online session on Adobe Connect 11:30-12:00.  
 

May 7:

have to read an article per day and then answer the quiz at the end of the news.  
6. Writing​: Use the file “write-Mother-Day-poem” (located on One Drive) and write an 
acrostic using the word: M-O-T-H-E-R. 
7. Science/Social: C
​ hoose some chores around the house and help your mom. You 
can write a report on what you chose to do or take pictures and send them or 
even a video. 
8. Other content: ​Answer the Microsoft Form “Other Content May 7 Present 
Perfect”.

another option for keeping in touch during this emergency.

If I can’t do the assignments by computer can I do them by hand?

The answer is yes, and you can either send a picture using my mail or post it directly on 
the “remind” app or on Microsoft Teams. 

What happens if the platforms are not working? Do I get more time to complete my 
assignments? 

Yes, do not worry. I will be constantly monitoring the platforms to make sure they are 
fully functional, and if they are not I will give an extension of time for you to be able to 
complete your tasks.
