Once there was a girl,

She was a little shy,

Her face was strict and plain,

Her hair a little dry.

Although she wasn't pretty,

Her eyes were sparkling blue.

They showed she's always dreaming,

They were sincere and true.

She was a little naive,

She loved with all her heart.

And even though she shouldn't

She loved a bit too hard.

She only longed for love,

She didn't wish for pain,

She always hoped for sun

And never thought of rain.

This was her only wish

The wish that won't come true.

Her heart was cold and broken,

Her tears were sparkly blue.

Once she met a boy

A boy with sweetest smile.

She loved him, she was happy,

It lasted quite a while.

But soon her world was shattered

The truth had hit her hard.

The boy had gone away

And left her broken heart.

He still was smiling dreamly,

He still was in her head,

But love was unrequited,

It's black what once was red.

She only longed for love,

She didn't wish for pain,

She always hoped for sun

And never thought of rain.

This was her only wish

The wish that won't come true.

Her heart was cold and broken,

Her tears were sparkly blue.

The girl is still the person

She used to be before.

But her eyes aren't sparkly

Nor happy anymore.

She only longed for love,

She didn't wish for pain,

She always hoped for sun

And never thought of rain.

This was her only wish

The wish that won't come true.

Her heart was cold and broken,

Her tears were sparkly blue.

Now her eyes aren't sparkly

Nor happy anymore.
