Preface

This articles focus on how knowledge is formed or acquired. It also

talks about the difference between knowledge and information.
Information is acquired from different sources and passed into
different people. The way knowledge is created, acquired and
inculcated is similar to the pregnancy of woman. The main purpose
of this article is to make students, scholars, researchers and or
individual person to know how knowledge is acquired and how is
different from information. Without the waste of time let us start
unpacking what I am talking about when I am talking about
pregnant to knowledge.

Pregnant to knowledge

For a long time up to the present people are misusing these two
concepts namely knowledge and information. Well these concepts
are different but not completely different from each other because
both knowledge and information is acquired. But before we

embark any further allow me to distinguish these two concepts.
Information is an arranged and stored recording, books, videos,
tools, remains, etc. Information is an acquired material which can
be used by any person willing to make or solve any problem. Many
people can define information in multiple various ways. The term
information consists of two words or terms and these include
Inform and Formation. The term informs means to let someone
who don’t know to know. Formation refers to the structure on how
the information is delivered to a certain person.

From these definitions of the term information it is clear that there

is no knowledge without information. Information comes before
knowledge. Now let us come to knowledge allow me to define the
term knowledge. Terms term knowledge can be associated with
being able. Let take a house for instance, to be able to build a
house you must first have the knowledge to build it. Another
definition of knowledge can arise from the fact that the word
knowledge come from the noun know. What does that mean it
simple means that if you don’t know therefore you don’t have
knowledge. If you don’t have knowledge therefore you didn’t
acquire any knowledge. You can also define knowledge as an ability
to do things. This clear indicate that if you don’t have knowledge to
do that particular thing you cannot do it.

One can argue and say knowledge is therefore similar to skill.
However I myself totally disagree with that skill is completely
different from knowledge. Knowledge can’t exist without
information but skill can exists. You as a scholar you can say skill is
similar to knowledge for argument sake and you can collect and use
different points to defend your point of view. Therefore you will be
correct depending on the situation you are facing during that time.

Since I have talked about knowledge and information stating on

how they actually differ let me focus on how pregnancy is linked to
knowledge and information. Before I embark any further allow me
to define the term pregnancy. Human and life scientists define
pregnancy in various ways. One can say pregnancy happen after sex
between two people of the opposite sex. Pregnancy happens when
the male sperm go straight to the female vagina and hit the egg
during the sexual intercourse to form a baby. Still the concept
pregnancy is not defined yet. Pregnancy is the situation where a
female is ready to give birth to an infant or child. Only a woman
becomes pregnant.

As a scholar in this article I associate the way

information/knowledge is acquired as pregnancy. You cannot be
pregnant without practicing any sexual intercourse beside sperm
donation as it is done today but that is against nature and it is not

natural. Just like a pregnant woman as she can’t be pregnant
without the sperm of the men. To become pregnant she needs to
first collect the sperm from the male. And she can’t give birth
without being pregnant at first. You as well you need to collect
information from different sources for you to know and have
knowledge and be ready to pass that information or knowledge to
different people. The biggest question that most people ask
themselves is how and where to acquire information. Knowledge
can be acquired from different sources. Types of sources are
Primary sources and secondary sources. But we encourage people
to use primary sources for them to get firsthand information.
Primary sources refer to the sources of information that is written,
told, by a person who was there during an event. Primary sources
can be an original material used to construct meaning from them.
i.e. drawings, remains and other. Secondary sources refer to all
sources that contain second hand information. When I am talking
about second hand information I am actually talking about the
information written by the second person who was not there
during the happening of the event. Forms of sources are videos,
recordings, books, archaeological remains, storytelling to name a
few.

When you seek for knowledge you conduct a research or you study
a particular field and you get knowledge to use it and pass it to
others. Without that you cannot have knowledge therefore you
cannot give but to it.

In the final argument this article could be used in conjunction with

social constructivism and behaviorist’s theory for students and
other academics for educational purposes. This article can be used
for educational purposes, personal use. And for motivation to all
academics or students studying as it clearly indicate that
knowledge is born. All people need to be pregnant to knowledge
for them to give birth to it.
