ABATRACT:

In this new era everyone want the product

at best quality with low manufacturing cost so from
the point of view of hoteling industry it is very
important that customer should get immediate
service of food. Chapati is integral part of Indian cuisine. Making chapatis is a routine activity
of indian families and is a time consuming and monotonous job. .Lots of difficulties are facing
while making for mass production of chapatis. Dough mixing, chapatti making and its heating
are time consuming job.Hence our study is to design and manufacture a semi-automated
machine for time saving in commercial applications. Sorghum is a gluten free cereal and forms
the staple diet of a majority of the populations living in the semi-arid tropics dough So chapatti
making machine would be the best option for
complete that requirement which would increase the
cooking productivity with high quality.. It is required to design a chappati making machine for
Indian household of compact size which can be easily used in kitchen,automated, easily
cleanable, low in maintenance and affordable by middle class Indian family. This project work
involves the design and fabrication of Chapati Making machine for Indian household which is
easy to use,consumes less time and involves less maintainence.It consists of various links and
mechanism to make the process automated with the arduino microcontroller.Usually for making
10 chapatis it takes almost an hour, and three times in a day may take lot of productive time.
But,we can make 100 counts/hr. We developed setup for making chapatis with minimum cost;
setup produces multiple chapatis per cycle.Mixing, pressing and making chapatis and its heating
is integrated in one system.To develop a automated chapati making machine the following
concepts are involved: 1.Kneading mechanism 2.Rack arrangement 3.Cutting Process
4.Pressing mechanism 5.Heating(Joule’s heating law)6.Conveyor 7.Arduino microcontroller. It
can be used in households,hotels,canteens,schools and college canteens.
