Passive transformation

Is the transformation which requires the use of action verb and a direct object. All passive sentences are
derived from active sentences with transitive verbs. In this transformation the subject of an active
sentences become the object or something that an action done to it. While the object of an active
sentence become the subject. The sentence may be of the following patterns:

NP1+ Transitive verb +NP2

For example:

I, The dog ate the bone.(Active Sentence)

Ii, The bone was eaten by the Dog.(passive)
