Focusing on the “v”

The “v” sound in Spanish is usually the same as the “b” but in English “v” is very
different. Your top teeth rest on the bottom lip and there is a vibration.

Avoidable Believe Divisible by five
Valuable Misbehave

These are different words so they need to be pronounced clearly.

Best - vest Bat – vat Rifle – rival
Beliefs - Safer - savor Live - life
believes Relieve - relief Bent - vent
Infest - invest Vine - fine banish – vanish

• Vanessa loves badminton but is obsessed with volleyball.

• Please give me your backpack. It must be heavy.
• She lives in a valley by the Liver River.
• Everybody visits that village because of its views.
• Vowels and verbs are very unavoidable.
