Dear McFarland Students, Families, and Community:

In the effort to maintain two-way communica<on, the District said it would con<nually provide updates during
this pandemic—especially when it involved the health and safety of our students and staff.

The District was informed over the weekend that a staff member had tested posi<ve for COVID-19. The District
immediately gave word to anyone who had contact with this employee to stay home. Those staff members
who are in the chain of contact are also being directed to test for the virus and stay home un<l cleared by
medical professionals.

In light of this news, we will be postponing ‘Campus Checkout’ that was scheduled to take place this Tuesday,
May 26th. The priority of the District con<nues to be the safety and well-being of our students and staff. We do
not have a new date yet for checkout but will provide updates as they are made available.

The District will con<nue to send updates and keep you all informed as new informa<on is available.
