Maho Scroll

This scroll contains the Maho spell “Touch of Death.” You can cast this spell
by spilling blood (your own or someone else’s) equal to five wounds, and
rolling Earth+(Shadowlands Taint Rank), keeping Earth. The spell takes 2
actions to cast (but you may take a Raise to reduce that to one action) and the
base TN is 20. For each additional 5 wounds of blood you spill, you gain a free
Raise.

The spell targets one person (within 10 feet, plus 2 feet per Raise), blasting
and blackening their flesh, causing 7k7 wounds (additional unkept damage
dice may be gained with Raises).

Casting the spell is a deeply dishonorable act, costing three points of Honor
each time. Furthermore, each time you cast the spell, you will acquire 10
points (one full Rank) of Shadowlands Taint. Finally, owning and/or using the
scroll is an act of treason against the Empire, and if anyone finds out, you will
be instantly made ronin and outlaw.
