Malang is the most traffic jam

Since growing into an educational area, Malang city is indeed like sugar which
invites ants, tens of thousands students come to Malang city every year (1). Causing the
city of Malang not to escape traffic jams (2). Traffic jam in Malang is usually only at
certain hours, now traffic jam is already everyday (3). Factors causing traffic jam in
Malang include the large number of students arriving from Indonesian, many vehicles are
entering the city of Malang , and the streets in Malang are very few (4). So, Malang was
named the second most traffic jam in indonesian (5). Steps as a solution to the problem of
traffic jam in Malang need synergy between stakeholders, both government, academics,
the private sector as well as the community (6). Solutions can be applied to overcome
traffic jam in Malang are among others : first, the existence of vehicle restriction
regulations (7). Second, road widening on the segment that has traffic jam (8). Thirdly,
the availability of adequate public transportation facilities and the need for appeals should
not be parked on roads (9). Fifth, universities need to appeal to students and provide
regulation not to bring private vehicles into the campus (10). Traffic jam problems do not
necessarily be solved if the community itself does not have the awareness that each
community has the same responsibility so that traffic jam does not occur (11).
