General Information
1. Where is this school located? How long would it take you to get there from Garnet Valley? How
do you feel about this distance?
Lafayette College is located in Easton, Pennsylvania. It would take an hour and a half to get there
from Garnet Valley. This distance is great since I will still be able to come home.
2. How many undergraduate students attend this school? How many graduate students?
There are 2,533 undergraduate students at Lafeyette.
3. List three sports, clubs, and/or organizations that the school offers that interest you. Consider
Greek life (fraternities/ sororities), campus ministry, study abroad opportunities, community service
organizations, etc.
There is an intramural flag football team at Lafayette. There are 6 fraternities and 4 sororities. Also,
they host a wide range of services such as job placement and internship that will help me.
4. What kind of internships are available to students of this school?
There are internships with and without pay.
5. What is the campus setting (urban, suburban, rural, etc.)? What kinds of off-campus experiences
are available to students at this school?’
The campus setting is a small suburban school. According to alumni, there are few places to go to
eat.
6. What are three majors that this school offers that you would like to consider?
I would be interested in an Engineering, Biomedical, and Technology, or Economics major.
7. What is this school’s job placement rate for graduating students?
This school has a 69% job placement after 6 months.
Application Information
8. When is the application deadline?
The first early decision deadline is November 15th. The regular decision is January 15th. The second
early decision deadline is February 1st.
9. Does this school accept the common application?!
This school accepts the common application.
10. What are the SAT/ACT requirements for this school?
The composite SAT range is from 1260 – 1440. The ACT range is 28 – 31.
11. What are the GPA/Class Rank requirements for this school?’
The average GPA for this school is a 3.58 unweighted and a 5.11 weighted.
12. What other admissions requirements are there? SAT 2, letters of recommendation, personal
statement, interview, audition, etc.?
Lafayette is a selective school. They require SAT/ACT, a personal statement, a recommended
interview, a school record, test scores, and they recommend SAT Subject Tests.
13. Is this school “Safety” “Reach” or “Middle of the Road” for you?
This school is a reach school for me. The school is very selective and it is likely I won’t get in.

14. Where is the Health Center and/or Counseling Center located and what are the hours? How do
you make an appointment at the Counseling Center?
An appointment at the Counseling Center could be made by calling thier number or stopping by; They
do not accept emails. Their hours are 8:45am-12:00pm & 1:00pm-5:00pm (closed for lunch 12:00-
1:00pm), They are located at the second floor of the Bailey Building.
15. What are the hours for the Writing Center? Do you need an appointment or can you just drop in?
The Writing Center allows drop-in appoints on Sunday-Thursday from 4-10 pm. You can make an
appointment through their google doc.
16. What academic supports/curricular accommodations can students with special learning needs
receive?
