Mild
Practise sharing equally. See activity.

Medium
(Using the question cards on Firefly) Read the problem carefully.
Use objects or draw pictures to share the amounts equally. You
don’t need to complete all questions. Please just select a few.

Example - James has 6 bread rolls. He


shares them equally with his sister. How
many do they have each?

Draw the 2 groups. One for James and one for his sister. Get 6
counters for the bread rolls. Share them equally between the 2
groups.

Spicy
Can you solve the problem? Discuss and explain your answer.

If you like, have a go at the mild activity first and when you are confident
move on to medium and spicy. If you are ready for it, you may start on the
medium activity straight away! You don’t need to complete all of the
questions in each section but do try to challenge yourself!
Mild

Mourad has 8 marbles. He shares them equally between 2


bags. How many sweets are in each bag?

Nathaniel has 10 sweets. He shares them into 5 bowls. How


many sweets are in each bowl?

At home, practice sharing 12 toys into 3 piles.
