Start Model with Template Start Model by using “Flat Slab” template and specify pile location as cok umn in flat slab first. Step 1-1: Start Model with Template Start SAFE by clicking on the appropriate desktop shortcut or by selecting SAFE from Windows Stert menu. Define Slab Properties Column and Pile will be defined as slab properties by using thickness = 10.00 m for pile and same as floor height for column (3.75m for this example). From start- ing with template, all piles will be assigned as “COL” property. Change slal property data as shown in above figure and click “OK”, Step 2-2 Add New Property (COLUMN) Click “Add New Property” and enter parameter as shown above and click “OK” 2 times.
