Research Design

The descriptive correlational design will be applied to this study. This design is

used to determine the relationship of anxiety and (intrinsic) motivation of randomly

selected third year occupational therapy students of Cebu Doctors’ University.

Research Environment

The study was conducted at Cebu Doctors’ University, a private educational

institution located at Dr. P.V. Larrazabal, Jr. Avenue of the North Reclamation Area of

Mandaue City. The university, is composed of nine colleges namely; Graduate School,

College of Nursing, College of Dentistry, College of Medicine, College of Optometry,

College of Arts and Sciences, which offers five colleges; BS Nutritionist and Dietetics,

AB Psychology, BS Computer Science, BS Biology and AB International Studies. The

College of Rehabilitative Sciences, which offers three programs; BS Physical Therapy,

BS Respiratory Therapy and BS Occupational Therapy. The College of Allied Medical

Sciences, which offers two programs; BS Radiologic Technology and BS Medical

Technology.
