Analysis of the results of the data set

Mean: The mean of attendance on day (y) is 6327.153846, which means that an average of 6327
visitors showed up to the gallery on a randrom day in 2017. The mean of attendance on day (x)
is 6374.461538, which means that an average of 6374 showed up a week prior to the random day
in (y). This means that the average number of visitors decrease from one week to the next.
Median: The middle value or the mid-range of how many visitors came on day (y) is 7012 and
day (x) from previous week is 6115. Median does not count skewed values and anomalies like
the mean does, so it provides a move accurate midpoint of visitors. The mid-range number of
visitors increased from one week to the next.
Mode: There is no mode in the data set of attendance of day (y) or (x) because there are no
recurring values of attendance in any of the randomly picked days or in the previous week.
Standard deviation: Standard deviation of attendance of day (y) is 1731.939368 and day (x) is
1205.689748. This shows how the values are spread out around the mean and shows the average
distance between values of attendance on given days and the mean. Since both the numbers are
large, the numbers are very scattered. The standard deviation decreases from one week to the
next.

Scatter plot graphs

The scatter plot of attendance of day (y) and (x) show no pattern or trend being followed of
attendance increasing or decreasing uniformly. The data showcases that attendance on day (y)
has anomalies at the first and last day chosen, with more closer numbers in the middle.
Attendance on day (x) has more scattered data.
Other forms of graph that could have been used are the cluster graph and line graph. Cluster
could have been used as the categories are few and values are randomly chosen days. Line graph
could have been used to directly compare attendance of (x) and (y) along with the pattern of
attendance.
