I was never an advocate of walking down the trodden path,I want my work to make a difference to

people’s lives. Getting placed in a relatively young firm gives me an opportunity to explore the key
elements of a business and witness a business idea take shape.

What is most essential quality that one needs to inculcate ? How can I optimize a labour intensive
process? Can my ideas potentialy solve a real world problem? These are the questions that need to
be answered, and the most effective way of finding solutions to all these questions is to make
mistakes and learn from them.

To quote the great inventor Thomas Edison, “I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't
work.” This is something I believe and live by.

I want to ensure that by the time I join ISB, I have enough of exposure and insight into the corporate
world and tackle the challenges it offers. At ISB, courses such as PAEV (planning an entrepreneurial
venture) and ventures like TEP (technology entrepreneurship programme) can help me enhance my
understanding of businesses, and provide me with tools to shape an idea which can cater to the
most relevant needs of the time.

I wish to become an indispensable part of an organization or lead my own venture: be it in the form
of a mentor, or in a more operational capacity. Even if I fail in this journey, I would have learnt a lot,
and am certain that I would be able to make a considerable difference to the lives of those people
who I engage with as I move forward along this path.

I am not afraid of failing due to unforeseen circumstances, but am afraid of failing due to poor
knowledge and skills, or lack thereof.
