The COVID-19 PANDEMIC has affected millions and will linger indefinitely posing an
uncertain future for all of us. It is for this reason that EASTWEST HEALTHCARE has risen
to PROTECT you; our dear members, from possible health and financial risks. Effective
immediately, EASTWEST HEALTHCARE will now cover positive cases of COVID-19 under
our COVID-19 Pandemic Assistance Benefit.
1. Coverage for all POSITIVE CASES of COVID-19 and any complications thereof will be
covered up to an AGGREGATE AMOUNT of P30,000 for inpatient, outpatient and ER
availments, per member, per year.
2. Our hotline numbers are open 24/7 for the duration of the ECQ and GCQ to assist our
members and process availments and other concerns related to the COVID-19
Pandemic Assistance Benefit.
3. The following COVID-19 tests are NOT COVERED under the COVID-19 Pandemic
Assistance of Eastwest Healthcare:
• Tests conducted privately (those not conducted by the DOH-licensed laboratories for
COVID-19 testing). Ex. tests using commercially available rapid antibody test kits in
the outpatient setting
• Tests conducted for the purpose of screening (ex. among those who are not under
the category of suspect and probable cases)
For further updates on the list of Licensed Laboratories in the country capable of
conducting Real-time RT-PCR for COVID-19, please refer to the Department of Health
Philippines website.
Our member’s welfare are foremost and would like to emphasize the DOH and LGU’s advise
to REMAIN INDOORS and minimize the risk of infection and infecting others.
