1.How does project management help for the success of the project?
In here, we can plan, we can protect the activities of the project, we can do scheduling and managing
the development of the man’s power as well as the schedule of the deliveries of the materials. Project
management is a guide or tool to be able to monitor the project closely in terms of the time, duration,
the cost and the quality needed for the project.

2.Importance of sustainability success factors in a highway project?

Highway project is broad “scope of work” highway project can affect the
household, can affect the properties, private properties actually but, the success
factors for this is the communication, we should communicate to the “like for
example for us as a government employees, we communicate to LGU,
communicate to private indicators, so as we could pass through on the their
properties and affected properties this communication is very important to be
able not to humper the implementation of the private.

3.What often problems you face in a highway project as a (position)?

Road right of way is a big problem because this problem could stop the project anytime, this problem
creates a cure or attention among the affected private individuals, contractor, and officer involved.

4.How do these problems affect the project? How do you resolve these
circumstances in order for you to maintain the success of the project?
Well, we can resolve it through communication, we have to educate or inform the affected people
regarding the project and regarding the confrontation so that we can resolve and we could continue to
implement the project.

5.As a (position) what is the contribution of your role for the success of the project?
my contribution is to manage the whole project and manage the lower position and manage the other
parties, a project manager is the head, who will manipulate the whole project in the different parties or
management, also we monitor. When we say office engineer it is more on communicating, and
paperwork. Senior project officer is next on the project manager consider as the lead man.

1. How does project management help for the success of the project?
 For a job or work to be done well, we will have to make plans in the first
place. Back up plans are also necessary. Project management is a big help for
you to be able to monitor the progress of the work or project well and faster.

2. What often problems you face in a highway project as a (position)?

Sometimes, we go to the site with the project engineer. Based on my
experiences, one of the most common problems is when a portion of an
establishment or a property is within the boundary of the proposed road. You
will have to make an arrangement with the owner to compensate that portion
of his or her property that would be used for the project. The government has
its own right to use the portion of the property so the owner will have to
agree and let the government use it. Some owners take longer time before
they could give their permission, some almost could not do so. But, in the end,
they would have no choice but to allow it
3. How do these problems affect the project? How do you resolve these
circumstances in order for you to maintain the success of the project?
In order to maintain the success of the project you should practice how to talk properly to
people, they should communicate with professionalism at the same time with respect, not just
to your workers but also to the owners and to the people involved in the project.

4. As a (position) what is the contribution of your role for the success of the
project?
As an Office Engineer what is the contribution of your role for the success of the project. I think
when you’re in a project, you should focus on your own work, as an office engineer you should
always finish and do your job as your boss ask you to do. Don’t interrupt others work unless you
already finish yours. That way you can help others and share your knowledge without delaying
your own project.

(Project Manager)

Project management really helps in the success. In the project management they must know how to
schedule the process in construction, and they must know how to distribute the fund in different needs
of the project. They must follow this program otherwise the project will face bankruptcy.

Condition of site, accessibility, if re-routing is needed.

It depends on the allotted budget, that will serve as the base for the planning of the project, they
will follow the given specification for the budget.

2. What will happen if the project is unable to meet the deadline? Will it affect
the estimated cost of the project?
The project will be affected if the contractor exceeds on the given deadline of the project. The
contractor needs to pay 1/10 of the total amount of the project for each day the project exceeds on
its deadline.
