The world was not prepared for the novel coronavirus.

The
world is dealing with an invisible, deadly enemy, trying to
understand how to live with the threat posed by a virus. Everyone
is scared of what might happen, scared that this might shut us
down; the coronavirus pandemic does not shut us down. Instead, it
reminds us of what’s at stake in our fight for the planet. Since we
are facing a big threat, we can’t see the good effects of this
pandemic. Factories are closed, vehicles on the roads are lessen,
making our air clean, and our ozone layer is now healing. People
are starting to value what they have and saved it, so it can last for a
longer period of time. Individuals will also start to realize how
important in taking good care of our nature, that taking advantage
of resources will cause things that will make put life of many
people at risks. They will understand that following and
appreciating the authorities and our frontliners and backliners can
make situations better. After this pandemic, people will value their
families more, the environment and the agriculture. Society will
learn to follow and obey orders from authorities. If we don’t
demand change to transform our planet and meet our climate
crisis, our current state will become a world where pandemics and
extreme weather events happening in the globe, leaving vulnerable
communities even more at risk.
