1. How does culture play role in language?

Answer:
Culture consists of the values, beliefs, systems of language,
communication and practices that people share in common. Language
means of communicating through gestures, sounds or written words.
Culture and language are linked together. When you communicate with
another language, it also means that you are also communicating with the
culture that speaks the language.

2. What is the relationship between culture and communication?

Answer:
The relationship between communication and culture has many
components. Cultures are created through communication.
Communication is the means of human interaction through customs, rules,
rituals and law that can be created and shared. Without communication, it
would be impossible to preserve and pass along the cultural
characteristics from one place to another. In conclusion, culture is created,
shaped, transmitted, and learned through communication. And
communication practices are created, shaped, and transmitted by culture.

3. Why language is important to society?

Answer:
Language means of communicating through gestures, sounds or
written words. Language is not only a mode of communication between
individuals but is also a way for the expression of their personality. (1)
Language makes it easy to contact within the society. Society is a web of
social relationships which imply development of social contacts among the
individuals with language contacts become easy to be established
because men can easily exchange their opinions or ideas. (2) Language
helps or obstructs spread of culture. Ideas are language; sometimes an
idea or concept is hard to translate because the language has no words
with which to express it.

4. What is the role and function of language in cultured?

Answer:
Language is a system that helps people express thoughts, feelings
and meaning through symbols and sounds. The role and function of
language in a culture is that language serves to pass on and shape
culture, and culture shapes language in return.

5. Why is it difficult to separate society and culture?

Answer:
Society is a group of people with common territory, interaction and
culture. People of the same society share aspects of their culture, such as
language or beliefs. Culture refers to the language, values, beliefs,
behavior and material objects that constitute a people’s way of life. Society
and culture is difficult to separate because culture is what makes into a
group of people while society is a people of culture. Its people bonded
together by their shared beliefs, attitude, language and institutions or by
their culture.

6. How does culture help us?

Answer:
Culture consists of the values, beliefs, systems of language,
communication and practices that people share in common. Culture helps
us to interact with other people easier and convenient; with the help of
culture we can easily express ourselves or our opinions with the person
who shares the same beliefs and ideas regarding particular matter.
Culture also helps us to understand the way of thinking of other people.
Culture enhances our quality of life and increases overall well-being for
individuals and communities.

7. Why is it important to maintain our culture?

Answer:
Maintaining our culture is very important since culture is a bond of
space and the time with the people with the said culture. By maintaining
our culture we can have a better understanding of how things came to be
and why are the way they are. It also serves a guide to the future. The
accumulated knowledge of the past generation can help both each person
and the entire community. In maintaining our culture, one person should
feel proud of their culture and identity.

8. How does culture affect society?

Answer:
Different societies can affect the culture of one place to another. A
more open society has a culture that is being shaped by other cultures,
adapting passing practices and interesting trends picked up from
foreigners. Like here in the Philippines we can easily adapt the trends in
other countries and it can consider as advantage.
A closed society may be more defensive of their way of life, so they
continue their practices with minimal influence from others.

9. Which Filipino culture is the best for you?

Answer:
The best Filipino culture for me is that Filipinos are very helpful.
Filipinos help one another without expecting anything in return despite of
not knowing who are the persons they are helping.

10. Which Filipino culture do you hate most?

Answer:
Filipino culture I hate the most is that Filipinos are hypocrites
regarding religious. Nearly everyone is Catholic and faithful. But also
some people are having sex outside marriage, having an affair, etc.
Instead of admitting it, everyone hides it and then scorns those who do it.
