Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest

I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah

I bear witness that Muhammad (saw) is the Messenger of Allah.

Come to Prayer

Come to success

Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest.

There is none worthy of worship except Allah.

Peace be upon you all,

I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah

He is alone and has no partner

and I bear witness that Muhammad (saw) is His Servant and Messenger

After this I seek refuge with Allah from Satan the accursed.

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.

All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all the worlds.

The Gracious, the Merciful.

Master of the Day of Judgment.

Thee alone do we worship and Thee alone do we implore for help.

Guide us in the right path

The path of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy blessings,

those who have not incurred Thy displeasure,

and those who have not gone astray.

Opposition to the Promised Messiah (as) had started even before a Community

[i.e the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community] had been properly established

and he had not yet taken the Bai’at [oath of allegiance] from anyone.

Both Muslims and non-Muslims alike put all their energy into opposing him,
and this continues today.

Nowadays it is the Muslims who display greater opposition,

however Allah the Almighty continues to cause the Community of

the Promised Messiah (as) to grow and flourish.

With the Grace of Allah, the [Ahmadiyya] Community is now established in 209 countries of the world.

As I have mentioned, in the Muslim countries in particular whenever people show greater interest

in the Community, there planned and contrived opposition to the Community manifests.

Those who join this opposition often include some politicians, scholars

and government officials under their influence, and even judges in the courts.

As I have mentioned in several of my previous Friday Sermons,

the Ahmadis of Algeria are currently being targeted for cruelty.

The judges and government officials say [to the Ahmadis] that they will release them only if

they reject Hazrat Mirza Ghulam of Qadian and acknowledge that his claim is false.

The judges say they must state that he is not the Promised Messiah and Imam Mahdi and in fact he is,

God forbid, an agent of and aided by anti-Islamic forces and Western powers

and was in fact planted by them, particularly by the British.

They [the judges] say if they do not agree to this then they [the Ahmadis]

should be prepared for jail and punishment.

They then pass cruel verdicts and throw into jail those Ahmadis

who remain steadfast on their faith and who refuse to comply.

Huge fines are being ordered upon them which they do not have the capacity to pay,

because the majority of them are poor.

In any case, we must remember these oppressed and persecuted members in our prayers.

May Allah the Almighty grant them steadfastness and shield them from this oppression.

Similarly, you should remember the Ahmadis of Pakistan in your prayers.

There too, especially in the Punjab [province],

a well-planned scheme of persecution against Ahmadis is being executed.

Seeing the state of chaos and disorder in the Muslim countries

and the relationship between the Muslim nations should have been enough for anyone who reflects,

to search for the one whom Allah the Almighty was destined to send according to His promise.

The one the Prophet Muhammad (saw) had prophesied to appear as his true servant,

for the reformation of the followers of Muhammad (saw).

The signs foretold by Allah and His Messenger have clearly been fulfilled and

continue to be fulfilled in connection with the advent of the Promised Messiah.

This path alone is the one that can restore for the Muslims their lost honour and greatness.

At one place the Promised Messiah (as) says

"Remember this clearly that the promises of God Almighty are true.

"According to His promises, He has sent a Warner to this world.

"The world did not accept him.

"However, He will most surely be accepted by God the Almighty

"Who will manifest his truthfulness with mighty assaults.

"I say to you truly that according to the promises of God, I have been sent as the Promised Messiah.

"If you wish you can accept me and if you wish you can reject me;

"however, your rejection will not affect anything at all.

"It is the Will of God that will reign supreme."

The Promised Messiah (as) then says:

"It is evidently clear that God Almighty has sent me

"to the world as His Appointed One and the Promised Messiah.

"Those who oppose me are in fact not opposing me, but are opposing God."

Thus, those who oppose the Community are acting against the Will of God.
They are in fact opposing God, and such people have not hindered anything in the past

and neither will they ever do so in the future, InshaAllah.

The Help and Succour of God has always been with the Promised Messiah (as).

We continuously witness that his opponents utterly fail in their objectives and this is true today as

well and InshaAllah (God Willing) will continue to be the case in the future.

When they raise opposition in one place,

elsewhere Allah the Almighty opens up hundreds of new avenues of propagating our message.

In Algeria, they thought that they were eliminating Ahmadiyyat.

Newspapers and the media gave ample coverage of this

and published material against the Community that was spread widely.

Indeed, the newspaper played a prominent role in opposition to us.

Yet, this very opposition actually became a means for propagating the message of the Community.

The Community in Algeria is not very old.

However, where Allah the Almighty is strengthening their faith through this opposition,

there He is also opening new avenues for preaching the message for them.

The Ahmadis living there write that they were concerned

about how they would preach in the country.

Because of their passion and zeal,

Allah the Almighty opened the path to such means Himself through this opposition.

They write that "whilst there are some who take a negative impression,

"mainly those who are followers of the so-called scholars,

"there are also very large numbers of people who have been introduced to the Community and

"the claim of the Promised Messiah (as) and believe actions against the Community are wrong."

Such people are then led to researching further into this matter.

The Promised Messiah (as) has also said that all the material against us in literature and books
actually encourages people to read our books and draws attention to them.

Further the Promised Messiah (as) said that this was the time that was destined for him to appear

and his advent was according to the decree of Allah,

so that he could secure and stabilise the wavering ship of Islam.

He said a major sign of a true Prophet, Messenger, and Reformer is

that he appears at the appointed time and at a time of need.

The Promised Messiah (as), addressing non-Ahmadis said:

"Can people take an oath that this is not the time when heavens are preparing [to send someone].

"However, they are aware that the current plight of Muslims necessitates for a Reformer to appear."

They give statements published in newspapers and they mention in their speeches testifying that

someone needs to come to save the Muslim community at large.

However, they also say that is should be someone other than Mirza Ghulam Ahmad.

Nevertheless, they do not accept the one

who claims to have been sent by God and in fact they deny him.

These so-called scholars constantly oppose him everywhere,

especially in the Muslim countries as I have said before.

In contrast, we see that Allah desires for His message to spread

and be accepted all over the world. The Decree of Allah is in operation.

Every year hundreds of thousands of people who join Ahmadiyyat despite opposition,

prove that the Help and Support of God is with the Community and the Promised Messiah (as).

There are many who write their personal accounts about how they accepted Ahmadiyyat

and when reading those, one cannot help but be amazed at how God Almighty provides

the means of acceptance for all those who are pure natured.

I will present some of those accounts.

The first account I will relate is from Algeria where, as mentioned, there is intense opposition.
The person writing the account says

"Well before accepting Ahmadiyyat I saw a dream one night

"that I am in a line amongst a large number of people on an elevated and very wide rooftop.

"Two people are standing on one end of it.

"When it is the turn of the person in the line, they proceed to fervently shake hands

"with in a loving manner with the person standing on the right of these two individuals

"and then entering the door for the hall,"

"a long line was especially formed to shake hands with one of the two individuals.

"I see this all happening from a distance and think

"why is everyone shaking hands so eagerly with just one and not both of these people? "

"Reaching closer I see that one of the two has a white beard whereas the person to his right

"is of middle height, his complexion was a colour similar to wheat and his hair and beard are black.

"When it was my turn I extend my hand to the person with the white beard,

"but he indicates towards the person with the black beard and wheat-like complexion

"and says to greet him with ‘salaam’ [greeting of peace].

"I shake his [the person with the black beard’s] hand very warmly and affectionately

"and I felt heartfelt devotion towards him. He sees me and smiles.

"His smile was so charming that I vividly recall his smile even today."

After he was introduced to Ahmadiyyat and started watching MTA,

in the first few days he was shown a picture of the Promised Messiah (as).

My Sermon was then shown.

My picture was being displayed and he said "when I saw both of these images I thought of my dream."

He wrote that the person with the white beard in the dream was me [Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V]

and the person with the black beard was the Promised Messiah (as)

and whom everyone was meeting and I was also indicating to meet the Promised Messiah (as).
He says "After this I contacted some Ahmadis through the Internet.

"I asked different questions and after receiving the answers, I took the Bai'at."

There is another account, where it seems that the person was especially held on to by Allah

and brought into the oath of allegiance of the Promised Messiah as per Allah’s Desire.

God the Almighty must have been pleased with some goodness or virtue of his.

Abdul Hadi is this person’s name and he is from Egypt.

He says "I was introduced to Ahmadiyyat through MTA Al-Arabiyya.

"It was a really good programme which I was enthusiastic about,

"however I could not fathom the concept of the prophethood and revelations

"of the Imam and Founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community"

he had reservations on these concepts relating to the Promised Messiah.

"I tried repeatedly to call in to the programme ‘Al Hiwar ul Mubashar’ [on MTA Al-Arabiyya].

"However I was unsuccessful in my every attempt to do so,"

and what was his purpose of calling?

"I only had one question and purpose which I wanted an answer as either a yes or no.

"The question was whether the Founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community was sinless

"like the other prophets and whether he was the recipient of revelation?

"If I was given a yes answer, I would have deleted this channel from my TV list there and then.

"This was because up until then I believed that the door of revelation is shut

"after the Holy Prophet (saw) and his claim [the Promised Messiah] is false.

"However, through God’s special decree I was never successful in calling in to the programme

"and as result I continued to watch MTA regularly.

"Slowly but gradually I came to understand the concept of the Seal of Prophet (Khatme-Nabuwwat).

"There was no path left for me to take but to take the Bai’at of the Imam of the Time,

"the Promised Messiah (as) and Imam Mahdi.

"Subsequently I filled out the initiation form and submitted it.

"After taking the Bai’at, I wished to convey this news to others.

"I selected one of my close friends for this purpose

"who I thought very highly of and that he would listen to me.

"I related him the message of Ahmadiyyat, and contrary to my expectations,

"he suddenly became furious and began insulting the Promised Messiah (as).

"I was forced to retreat back home wearily, heartbroken and restless.

"As usual I turned on the TV and on MTA the following verse of Surah Al-Imran was recited"

[Holy Qur'an (3:185)]

"And if they accuse thee of lying, even so were accused of lying Messengers before thee

"who came with clear Signs and books of wisdom and the shining Book.

He says "This verse became a source of peace and blessings for me and I was absolutely convinced

"that this was no coincidence, rather it was a message from Allah the Almighty for me

"that messengers and prophets have always been rejected and mocked in the past.

"Therefore if the same treatment was handed to the Promised Messiah (as) then it holds no value.

"However, for them to triumph with the help and succour of Allah the Almighty

"despite these circumstances it is a great proof of the existence of Allah the Almighty for

"the world and a clear testimony of the truthfulness of the prophets of God."

He further says "Upon pondering over this, my previous state disappeared

"and I began to express gratitude to Allah for enabling me to accept the Imam of the age

"and also for not including me among those who rejected him."

Look at how Allah the Almighty saved a pious natured individual

and perhaps the other person did not have this state and hence he was not blessed by Allah,

in fact owing to his ill fortune, he became blasphemous.

On the other hand, Allah the Almighty provided the means to comfort
and reassure the person who had done the Bai’at and his sorrows.

Another incident is regarding a lady, who owing to her pious nature,

was granted the opportunity by Allah the Almighty to perform the Bai’at.

Due to the general perception of extremism, she was fearful of us as well but even then

Allah the Almighty provided the means for this to happen.

This lady, whose name is Hami Fadi, is from Africa

and belongs to a small village called Boke which is near a city in Guinea.

She says that one day a Mualim [local preacher] from the Ahmadiyya community visited her and

preached to her about the Community and

also invited her to the Annual Convention taking place during those days.

She further states that his message appeared to be very good and decided to attend

and had the car filled with petrol. She was a very wealthy lady but lived in a village.

She states that because of the extremist acts by the Muslim organisations,

she thought that maybe this [Ahmadiyya] Community is also one of them

and not knowing what may happen there, she therefor cancelled her plan to attend.

However, she prayed in her heart "O Allah! If these people really are truthful then

"enable them to visit our village for Tabligh once again."

The person relating this incident writes that the works of the Lord are such that their Tabligh team

travelled to her village despite not having this visit scheduled in their plans.

Upon seeing them in the village, she began to rejoice and tears were flowing from her eyes and

she said that Allah had heard her prayers and the whole family did Bai’at and joined the Community.

Allah the Almighty is extremely merciful to some people wherein He enables them to excel in faith

and accept the one sent by Allah the Almighty by increasing their financial gains.

Yet, this is certainly not a condition as some people write to me and say that such person

has said they will accept Ahmadiyyat if a certain benefit is achieved or a task is accomplished.
One does not do any favours on Allah and nor on the Promised Messiah (as) by accepting Ahmadiyyat.

Rather, for one to listen, comprehend and accept the words of Allah the Almighty

is so that they may improve this life and the one in the hereafter.

Nonetheless, there is an incident which shows that when Allah the Almighty wants to bless someone

then sometimes He can even accept those conditions and demonstrates this.

The Amir [National President] of The Gambia writes that a lady, Sinta Sahiba,

who lived in a village in the district of Niabini severely opposed the Jama’at.

Whenever the name of the Jama’at was mentioned before her, she would become extremely angry and

would use very strong language when speaking against the Jama’at.

She would say that Ahmadis are Kafir [disbelievers] and they are hell bound but

even those who keep any kind of ties with them will also be destined for hell.

The lady was a farmer and owned land but her crops had been spoilt for the last two years,

whether it be because of pests or other animals which would spoil the crops however

she could not understand why this was happening.

An Ahmadi lady said to her that ever since she had begun opposing the Jama’at,

her crops have not grown, therefore she should give up opposing the Jama’at and instead join it.

Then, Allah the Almighty will bless her crops.

The lady understood immediately and agreed to experiment this.

She, along with eight members of her family accepted Ahmadiyyat

and saw that since joining the Jama’at, Allah had blessed her abundantly.

Not only did her crops begin to grow plentifully, she also came into contact with one of her sons,

whom she had lost contact for a number of years and was currently living in Italy.

Now, this lady tells everyone to join the Ahmadiyya Community

because in this lies the means for one’s salvation.

A missionary from Benin writes this year there was extreme torrential rainfall during
the monsoon season in the town of Bassila and as a result a wall of the mission house collapsed.

The rain continued to fall during the night and there was a danger that the second

[of the mission house] may also collapse.

He says that he was extremely worried due to the loss sustained to the Jama’at’s mission house

and thus thought that he will pray (such a thought can only to come our missionaries)

that "O Allah! Recover this loss through Bai’ats and bless the progress of the Jama’at."

He says that he had not even finished the prayer that the phone rang.

It was twelve o’clock at night and the rain was extremely strong and there was also lightning.

He picked up the phone and a gentleman by the name of Mohammad from the Bocha village was on the
line

and said that the people of his village would like to do perform Bai’at.

This village was situated 110 kilometres from the mission house.

He [the missionary] says that the next day, or a few days later,

he travelled to their village and 198 people did the Bai’at and entered the Jama’at and

despite that they face extreme opposition, they are firmly attached to their faith.

A missionary from Germany writes that he has been in contact with a Syrian family for the past year

and they even attended the Annual Convention in Germany and were very impressed

after witnessing the atmosphere of the Annual Convention but had not done the Bai’at.

The Syrian family said that they arrived to Germany via Italy therefore their lawyer had

warned them that since their case was very weak therefore they may have to return to Italy.

They said that after returning from the Annual Convention

they were expecting a letter from the court or the government that they had to go back to Italy

but when they arrived home they had received a letter wherein it stated that

though they are aware of the fact they came to Germany via Italy,

however the Judge had also written the remarks that since they were Syrians

therefore there was no need to send them anywhere from Germany.

He says that this was a miracle and he immediately thought that

this was due to the blessings of going to the Annual Convention.

He told his wife that this miracle was shown due to them attending the Annual Convention.

Thus, this thought took root in their hearts and they immediately

decided to do the Bai’at and joined the Jama’at.

Thus, Allah the Almighty guides people in the most peculiar of ways.

Although I have related many such incidents that have taken place in Africa and have also mentioned

that preaching in those areas is extremely difficult, but some people think that since people

in Africa are not very educated therefore they easily accept Ahmadiyyat.

However, this is completely wrong.

The so-called scholars of these uneducated people have enmeshed them in all kinds of rituals and

harmful innovations in order to maintain their means of livelihood

and establish their exclusiveness.

Those who follow these scholars also do not want to detach themselves from them and it is because

of this that our Jama’at faces opposition and I have already mentioned this in some

of the incidents that I have related that there are also people in Africa who oppose the Jama’at.

Thus, to accept Ahmadiyyat is not something easy,

however Allah the Almighty continues to provide the means for their guidance and also reveals

to our Mubilgheen [missionaries] and Mualimeen [local preachers] as to how they should preach.

A missionary from Ivory Coast writes regarding an incident that one of their Mualim

from San Pedro region visited a village to do Tabligh and subsequently fifteen people,

including the Imam of the village, accepted Ahmadiyyat.

Later, the Imam attended the Annual Convention of Ivory Coast

so that he could observe the members of the Jama’at more closely.

He was extremely happy after attending the Annual Convention

and even offered a plot of land for the construction of a mosque.

However, the people of that area were under the influence of a more senior Imam.

Previously, the Friday prayer was not offered in the village even though there was an Imam.

The reason for this was because the Friday prayer could only be offered unless the senior Imam

from the city was invited and a cow or sheep were slaughtered otherwise

they were not permitted to offer the Friday prayer.

Thus, they have adopted all kinds of inexplicable and harmful innovations.

This senior cleric would visit various areas eating the food prepared for him

and when it was the turn to visit a particular village only then would he visit and lead

Friday prayer and thus he had deprived them of an injunction which is fundamental to a believer.

It is stated in a Hadith [tradition of the Holy Prophet (saw)] that a blemish is left

on the heart of whoever missed three Friday prayers in a row,

however this Maulvi had his own Shariat [Islamic law].

When this less junior Imam was informed that such prerequisites

were not essential in order for the Friday prayer to be offered,

he went to his village and told the locals that they could offer the Friday prayer

and this condition that they must prepare a meal for the senior Maulvi is not required.

However, the locals who were not Ahmadi,

opposed him and did not give permission for this Imam to lead the friday Prayer in their mosque.

The local Imam built a temporary canopy and lead the Friday prayer with some Ahmadis

and out of mischief, the locals then broke down the canopy.

He states that, he along with the local Mualim and a few Ahmadis

went to see the village chief and related everything to him.

The village chief decided that if the locals do not permit them to offer their prayer then they

should offer their prayers somewhere else. When the prayer is offered in two different locations,
the locals will decide for themselves as to which mosque they want to pray in.

Nonetheless, he says that by the grace and blessings of Allah,

due to Ahmadiyyat the Friday prayer is now regularly offered in the village and

despite the opposition, the Ahmadis are firmly attached to their faith

and are also offering the Friday prayers regularly.

Allah the Almighty guides many people through dreams

and people are experiencing this form of guidance in every part of the world.

The Missionary In-charge of India writes about an incident of the acceptance of Ahmadiyat

of a person who recently converted [to Ahmadiyyat] in Kannur Kerala.

This new convert used to be very distressed prior to doing the Bai’at and someone told him that

reciting Durood [sending salutations on the Holy Prophet (saw)] was a solution

to alleviate his worries and that he should read the Durood extensively, and thus he did so.

One day he saw the tomb of the Holy Prophet (saw) and also saw an empty grave.

A person then came and said that the Holy Prophet (saw) has stated

that they will meet each other very soon. He related this dream to a non-Ahmadi Maulvi

and he said that this was a very blessed dream and that he was to attain a very lofty status.

A few days after experiencing this dream, he met an Ahmadi while travelling to somewhere

and the Ahmadi told him to visit the Noor mosque in his area.

And so, one day he went to the Noor mosque in his area and offered the Friday prayers.

Through this he was introduced to the Jama’at and began reading the literature of the Jama’at.

He later performed the Bai’at and joined the community.

He says that it is clearly evident that the interpretation of meeting the Holy Prophet (saw)

very soon was that he was going to join the Ahmadiyya Jama’at.

A missionary in Benin writes that their Ahmadi Mualim, Hamdi Jibrael Sahib

conducts a Tablighi programme on the local radio station.

One day he received a call from a lady during the programme in which she said that

she was extremely astounded that the second coming of the Messiah had taken place

yet they were completely unaware of this.

She further said that she was a Muslim and the rest of her family was Christian

and they always leave her speechless when they say that Muslims themselves claim

that they will only be guided through the advent of the Messiah.

She said to come and preach the message in her village.

Thus, from a few Tablighi sittings two hundred and twenty seven people from that village took

the Bai'at, thereby entering into the fold of Ahmadiyyat.

Wherever the religious clerics have any influence they seek to intimidate

and frighten the people away from Ahmadiyyat.

However, owing to this demeanour of the religious clerics,

God Almighty enabled other people to accept Ahmadiyyat.

There are many incidents out of which I will mention one.

The missionary from Porokosvas, which is situated in the northern area of Zambia, writes that

"the Jamaat was established in this region only last year.

"The religious clerics of the area called a meeting,"

since it was an old Muslim settlement, "in which they invited various people.

"Amongst those people there was a gentlemen by the name Muhammad Saeed Sahib,

"who was in contact with the Jamaat, however he was not an Ahmadi."

"In the meeting the clerics said 'we will not allow the Qadiani’s to progress at any cost.

'Therefore we have made a decision to follow them wherever they may go

'and we will chase them away by threatening them.

'If the people do not turn away from Ahmadiyyat, if it comes down to it we will even kill them'.

"The clerics then turned to Saeed Sahib and told him not to keep any contact with Ahmadis.
"They knew about his correlation with the Jamaat

"and warned him that if he does not sever ties with Ahmadis, they will use any force necessary."

What was the outcome?

After the meeting Saeed sahib took his family and joined the Ahmadiyya community.

He said to them "threaten me all you wish, I have taken the oath of initiation".

After this meeting some 25 other residents of this town also entered the fold of Ahmadiyyat.

The outcome of that meeting was that the truth dawned upon many people

and also the existing membership of the Jamaat increased greatly.

As I mentioned before the situation is the same in Algeria.

They are becoming more familiar with the Ahmadiyya community and the local residents believe that

the time is approaching where vast numbers of people will join the Ahmadiyya community.

God Willing.

Ameer Sahib of Tanzania also wrote an incident.

He stated "A local Jamaat has existed in Nyangamara for a long time,

"however, only one or two households were Ahmadi.

"This year [2016] with the help of the local members of the Jam'at a concerted effort was made

"to preach the message, in which they explained the importance of Khilafat to all the attendees.

"Consequently many people had a longing to meet the Khalifa.

"They requested a non-Ahmadi resident who had a TV dish to switch on MTA.

"When they turned on the TV the people had the opportunity to see Khalifat-ul-Masih (aba).

"This paved a new way to spread the message."

The year of the report, which is 2016

He stated: “this year our delegation visited the village again but a cleric began to cause

"a commotion during the sitting and we feared that the program would not be successful.

"However, owing solely to the succour of God, after the program had concluded
"and the question and answer session finished many of the residents of the village who had not yet

"accepted Ahmadiyyat addressed the cleric and said If Ahmadis are infidels, then we too are Ahmadis.

'You can leave this village, as Ahmadis will not go anywhere.'

"Thus, due to the actions of the cleric more people were drawn towards Ahmadiyyat.

"As a result, yesterday, thirty eight people had the fortune of accepting Ahmadiyyat and

" from those that took the Bai'at, one donated a plot of land for the services of the Jamaat.

"Another convert said that since his house is of a decent size and also in close proximity to

"the other members, his house can be used for congregational prayers until the mosque is built.

"Now, everyday members of that village gather and offer their prayers in his house."

There are many incidents of this nature where attempts have been made

to distance people from Ahmadiyyat due to enmity.

However, this is the work of God Almighty and as

the Promised Messiah (as) said that "we are making progress each day".

Many people come themselves to learn about Ahmadiyyat and witnessing such incidents

we are also a witness to the fulfilment of this statement by the Promised Messiah (as).

The Promised Messiah (as) stated: "Take heed! God Almighty does everything Himself."

He then elaborates by saying "The cold breeze is blowing and the designs God Almighty

"are completed gradually." They will be fulfilled without doubt

but they will be completed steadily and will continue to be fulfilled, God Willing.

Therefore the Muslims should stop their opposition of the Promised Messiah (as)

and instead ponder over this statement of his, where he addressed them saying

"Hearken! If there was no argument to support our claim, then by pondering over

"the current situation it was incumbent upon the Muslims to wander around like a person driven

"by madness and search for the reason why the Messiah had not yet descended?

"Why has the Messiah not yet appeared for the breaking of the cross?"
Thus, instead of opposing the Promised Messiah (as) they

should be searching for him as the situation of the time warrants for them to search.

He (as) further states "If the clerics had the welfare and the interest of the people in view

"they would never have continued to treat me in the manner they did.

"They should deliberate that they have issued edicts against me,

"yet who can prevent such an event from taking place

"that has already been decreed by God Almighty."

He (as) continues "Our opponent’s act as our servants because they too spread our message

"to the east and the west in one way or another."

Some of the incidents that I have mentioned, in particular in Algeria or Pakistan prove

the fact that owing to the opposition, people are becoming more aware of Ahmadiyyat.

Therefore we do not fear opposition, whether it takes place in Algeria,

Pakistan or any other Muslim country for that matter.

Our message is being spread by the opponents

and as a result people are becoming more familiar with Ahmadiyyat.

Opponents and the clerics among them should ponder over the statement of the Promised Messiah (as).

He (as) said "Remember, should you fail to accept me,

"then you will never be granted the opportunity to accept any other promised one"

He (as) then stated: "My advice to you would be never to let go of righteousness

"and ponder over these matters with a yearning to find God Almighty.

"Contemplate over this in isolation, then pray to God Almighty.

"Ultimately it is He who accepts the prayers, should they be said with pure intentions

"He will listen and He will guide you." May Allah enable these people to become worthy

of accepting the guidance imparted by God Almighty and may He open their hearts.

After the prayers I will lead a funeral in absentia of Mr Haji Noh Svend Hansen Sahib,
who was a Danish Ahmadi and passed away two days ago.

To Allah we belong and to Him shall we return.

He was born on 28th June 1929 in Copenhagen and affiliated with Lutheran church.

He was heavily influenced by the Danish philosopher and reformer by the name of Ludwig.

He belonged to a family that owned land.

1951, Hansen Sahib completed his MSc in Chemical Engineering from Technical University, Denmark

before moving to Malaysia for employment.

He accepted Islam on 26th January 1956.

Initially he accepted Islam because of a woman he intended to marry,

however, later he himself studied Islam thoroughly and from then

on he accepted the teachings of Islam whole heartedly and began to act upon them.

In 1964, he performed Hajj for the first time accompanied by his wife.

During prayers he supplicated "O Allah! Forgive my shortcomings and

"any negligence of mine that I have incurred during this Hajj.

"O Allah! When my spiritual condition progresses for the better,

"grant me the opportunity to perform the Hajj again."

God Almighty accepted his prayers by enabling him to join Ahmadiyyat and

after joining he had the opportunity to perform Hajj again,

as well as countless Umrah’s [pilgrimage performed outside the prescribed time for Hajj].

Hansen Sahib’s interaction with the Jamaat began in 1965.

When Chaudhry Zafrullah Khan Sahib went for Waqf-e-Arzi

[devoting ones time temporarily for the services of the faith]

to Denmark in 1968, Hansen Sahib spent a lot of time with him.

He had not taken the oath of initiation but was influenced by the teachings of Ahmadiyyat

and had some questions in his mind. He travelled to Pakistan in 1969.

He stayed with Chaudry Zafrullah sahib and during his stay he also visited Rabwah.

He had the opportunity to meet Hazrat Khalifatul Masih III (rh).

By this time he had thoroughly studied the teachings of Ahmadiyyat, yet was not satisfied.

During his personal meeting with Hazrat Khalifatul Masih III (rh) he asked some questions

and later he explained that it was during this meeting that

the truthfulness of the Ahmadiyya community dawned on me then.

When he arrived back on 7th April 1969, he sent Hazrat Khalifatul Masih III (rh) a letter

in which he wrote his oath of initiation, thereby entering the fold of Ahmadiyyat.

Between 1974 and 1988 he had the opportunity to visit Qadian on a few occasions.

He stood by the grave of the Promised Messiah (as)

and sent the greetings of peace from the Holy Prophet (saw).

From 1974 until 1988 he had the opportunity to serve as the National Finance Secretary in Denmark

and strengthened the overall organisation.

In 1985 Hazrat Khalifatul Masih IV (rh) appointed him as the Ameer [National President] of Denmark.

Prior to this, he was appointed as Naib Ameer [Deputy National President] on 27th April 1983.

Regarding Hansen Sahib, Chaudhry Zafrullah Khan Sahib stated "His wife is a Malaysian Muslim.

"Both husband and wife are not Muslims by name, in fact they are sincere

"and are regular in their prayers and also in fasting."

Chaudhry Sahib stated: “I have seen very few western Muslims

"who are so absorbed in the teachings of Islam."

He had the opportunity to take part in translating the Quran and also in publishing it.

In 1989 the second edition of the Quran with Danish Translation was published

and was composed on computer.

Even in this aspect Hansen Sahib served with tremendous effort.

He helped Medsan Sahib and worked closely with him.

From 1986 until his health permitted him approximately two years ago

he came to the UK Jalsa almost every year.

Similarly he also had the great fortune to assist Hazrat Khalifatul Masih IV (rh)

during the International Shurah which took place in the time of Hazrat Khalifatul Masih IV (rh).

He also served as editor to the magazine called “Active Islam”, which circulated in

which would circulate in the Scandinavian countries.

In 1981 Hansen Sahib was voted as the first head of the Ansarullah in Denmark

and served in this capacity until 1986.

Mr Hansen Sahib’s wife was not an Ahmadi, in fact she was a staunch opponent.

However Hansen Sahib always maintained a relationship of compassion and kindness

but at the same time he never permitted this to come in between serving the Jamaat.

He was regular in paying the Chanda [obligatory contribution] and would always

be in the fore front when it came to offering financial contributions.

Should he have anything left over he would deposit everything in a particular account.

Before retiring he also donated his car to the Denmark Jamaat.

With respect to his financial sacrifices, Hazrat Khalifatul Masih IV (rh) once wrote in a letter

"The financial sacrifices presented by Hansen Sahib is worthy of being emulated.

"By the Grace of Allah, from the outset he was exemplary in offering sacrifices and in sincerity.

"In terms of financial sacrifices he is an example and never needs to be reminded."

Hazrat Khalifatul Masih IV (rh) further stated "May Allah enable other Jamaat members

"to become like him, and should this happen, the role of the financial secretary

"will only be to maintain records and he would never need send reminders."

May Allah enable this to happen.

After the prayers I will lead the funeral prayer.

May Allah the Almighty elevate the status of the deceased and
may his wife and children be granted the opportunity to accept Ahmadiyyat.

All praise is due to Allah.

We laud Him, we beseech help from Him and ask His protection;

we confide in Him, we trust Him alone

and we seek protection against the evils and mischief of our souls

and from the bad results of our deeds.

Whomsoever He guides on the right path, none can misguide him;

and whosoever He declares misled, none can guide him onto the right path.

And we bear witness that none deserves to be worshipped except Allah.

We bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger.

O servants of Allah! May Allah be merciful to you.

Verily, Allah commands you to act with justice, to confer benefits upon each other

and to do good to others as one does to one 's kindred

and forbids evil which pertain to your own selves

and evils which affect others and prohibits revolts against a lawful authority.

He warns you against being unmindful.

You remember Allah; He too will remember you;

call Him and He will make a response to your call.

And verily divine remembrance is the highest virtue.
