Based on what we listened to and read in class, I want to reflect on the Islamic

perspective of this virus. According to research, the coronavirus was initially traced to a seafood
market that sold live animals in Wuhan. Scientists have said that a type of snake may be the
original source of the Wuhan coronavirus. However, other infectious disease experts say the
ultimate culprit is more likely to be the bat.
The source of coronavirus is originally bat and snake, which are both forbidden to eat in
Islam. Islam permits to consume only pure and good food and drink. Also, to prevent the
coronavirus, you have to wash your hands and nose, which is something Muslims do through
ablution. The practice of ablution in Islam is a pre-condition for every Muslim man and woman
before each of five daily prayers in the day and night. Wudhu in Islam refers to washing the face,
arms, head and feet with clean water. In Wudhu, mouth and nostrils are also cleansed with water
and the head is wiped. It is called ablution and it is obligatory before prayer or similar worship
acts.
The point of all this being that Islam is a very powerful religion, protecting you from
many harmful things in the world. When I talk about coronavirus, religion plays a major role in
it, since I am very passionate about my religion.
