ABSTRACT

Drainage is a must component in every community, villages, cities

& towns. We know that climate change and urbanization are

converging to challenge villages’ drainage infrastructure due to

their adverse impacts on precipitation extremes and the

environment of urban areas. For this reason, the first thing to

be put in place is a drainage system.

The study of drainage system in PSU village will bring major

benefits. As the improvement of the drainage system, it reduces

the damages to the houses and to the road. Minimize the loss of

public and private properties will contribute greatly to the

improvement and standard of living to the stabilization of

people’s livelihood along the area.

The research employed a research survey in order to obtain the

information that would describe the state of drainage system in

PSU village and how poor drainage affected the surrounding

environment, the road users and to the residents. The survey

involved; residents of the area adjacent to the road and the road

users. Various data collection techniques that were used include

questionnaires, photographs, observation and interviews.
