I had been looking forward to attend my best friend’s 18th birthday party for weeks.

When the day

finally came I was very excited, because her party took place on the beach. It was the first time in a
few months when I went to the seaside, but had I known what was going to happen at the party, I
would have warned my best friend to postpone it. Hardly had I left the house than wind began to
blow very hard and it seemed fairly obvious that a storm was about to begin. By the time I got there,
the wind destroyed everything on the beach and almost immediately my friend got really upset. We
tried to solve the problem, but not until I tried to calm her down. Within seconds it started to rain, so
immediately afterwards we had to leave the beach. The rain was followed by a disastrous storm like I
have never seen before. It was an unusual experience for me and I would never want that to happen
again.
