2) Developing EI is proactive, that means seeking opportunities to implement your skills and documenting the results of your efforts.

3) Each time you implement a skill, write down the result in detail (what did you learn, what did you improve), as well as the skill you used to gain this
knowledge. Make sure you describe the learning experience.
4) Each month review your results. If you are implementing this tool with your team, introduce it to them, and review with each individual monthly.

5) Consider adding a rating score to their year end review, based on how well they have developed their emotional intelligence throughout the year.
- By reviewing results monthly you have the ability to help them improve along the way.
6) Keep in mind that this document is "Emotional" in nature. It is not something to hand in to the boss and get filed. It is a vehicle the sets the stage for
expectations and facilitates discussion. So when you meet with an employee, talk with them about their learning process, have them use the template to
discuss their growth with you and use your own emotional intelligence to support their efforts. You will see and be able to judge results in their work, their
relationships and the improved team dynamic.
