Reflection: A TEACHER FOR THE WORLD: AM I A GLOBAL TEACHER?

During the time Prof. Nancy gave our topic for our reporting about

globalization. A lot of questions came into my mind. After doing some research,

ideas about globalization came into my mind and more ideas and information

were explained deeply after our report through a debate. I came to a realization

that everything in this world is really affected with globalization. Everything we

do even if these are simple things or big these are affected by globalization.

Including education, globalization has a greater impact on our education system.

The effect of globalization can really be seen in rapid developments in

technology and communication, changes within the learning system, the

changing roles of students and teachers and major concern on the lifelong

process. Nowadays, most of the schools adopt the learning that we learned from

other countries most especially in the use of the technologies. By using these

technologies, teaching and learning become more interesting to the learners.

As a teacher, I am trying my best to be a globally equipped in the lesson I

will be teaching to my students and to the facilities that will aid me in my

teaching. I am a teacher with commitment and love for the learners. I will think

globally but act locally. This is a good way to inspire my students to study hard

so they will achieve their dreams in life.
