Registered Nurse
Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital
2515 N Clark St, Chicago, IL 60614

As a motivated student with responsibility I am interested in applying for the summer assistant
internship through the Student Nursing Program.

As a student I have been excessively active in the community by volunteering and being more
involved in events and activities that helped me build community skills. Events such as feed my
starving children foundation and babysitting that helped build training skills for the future in
the career.

As a student preparing in a nursing career it is important for me to have the opportunity of
being able to work in a hospital environment with the program. It would allow me to build my
confidence to have better connections with people. While most of my work is serving at a
banquet hall and babysitting, it is still something that relates closely to what I wish to do. In
serving you need to be in a rush being able to serve the guests as possible for their needs. Like
when it comes for patients where you’re in a rush for saving their life. With that, I was able to
build more confidence and communication skills, which were hard for me to gain. But with
science based courses I am able to work in a professional work environment with the children
and their needs.

I have 3 accomplishments that are suitable for the position:

- Motivation: Volunteering with youth groups events and school activities and programs.
- Service: Being caring for others when they are in the need of assistance. Having the
ability to take time to assist them.
- Communication: The ability of babysitting and working as a server allowed me to build
communication skills and understand children as the way they think.

Working in a pediatric health setting I will have the ability to work together as a team and
learn about the healthcare system and the environment that nurses and patients are in the
hospitals. The way people feel and the ones working in the. As a summer Assistance I will be
able to learn about the career that I choose and development it would take. A may not have the
work experience in a hospital or clinical places but it is something I am willingly to do, to learn
and to obtain the knowledge that I might do in the future.

I believe that I have a lot to offer with the care and open-mindness working in a dynamic
healthcare management. I would appreciate the opportunity of having an interview and discuss
the application and resume that is needed for this process. I can be contacted at all times with
the information provided above.

Sincerely,
Nicole Stoklosa
