Drainage is the natural or an artificial removal of excess water in an area.

2. What are the two classification of Drainage? Explain.

Answer:

•Surface Drainage - a drainage that can be seen in the surface. Water will flow and collects from the
ground surface and transport it to a suitable disposal points.

•Subsurface Drainage - a drainage is located under the ground surface. This concerned with removing
water that percolates throgh tor is contained in the underying subgrade. Water will flow through gravity
flow.

Answer:

Highway drainage is a process of removing and controlling excess surface and subsurface water within
