FIRMWARE 1.0.1 FOR HASSELBLAD X1D II 50C

The 1.0.1 firmware is an important bug fix and stability improvement firmware release for the X1D II 50C
camera. We strongly recommend all users to update.

STABILITY IMPROVEMENTS AND BUG FIXES COMPARED TO V1.0.0:

A large number of bug fixes and improvements have been made to

●● General system stability

●● User Interface
●● Autofocus
●● Image Quality
●● Phocus Tethering
●● Languages

CHANGED FUNCTIONALITY COMPARED TO V1.0.0:

●● The AWB icon is no longer shown in Live View when Auto White Balance is selected.
●● When Manual White Balance is selected, the color temperature in °K is shown in Live View.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
Some Sony high-speed SF-G UHS-II SD 300MB/s memory cards might have poor compatibility, and therefore,
might not be able to write image data properly. Hasselblad is working to solve this issue.

For optimal performance of the X1D II 50C and to ensure the image data security, it is recommended to use
any of the SD memory cards listed below:

●● Sandisk Extreme PRO UHS-II 300MB/s

●● Panasonic V90 UHS-II 280MB/s
●● Toshiba EXCERIA PRO UHS-II 270MB/s
●● SONY SF-M UHS-II 260MB/s

UPDATE PROCEDURE
Make sure that you use a fully charged battery for the update. A charge level of 50% or more is required.
Please note that the update procedure normally takes about 7-10 minutes, but can in some cases take up to
12 minutes.

IMPORTANT NOTES
• Do not have the USB cable plugged into the camera during the update process.
• Wait until the message “Update is Completed” is shown.

Copy the downloaded file (X1D_II_50C_v1_0_1.cim) directly to the SD card (not into a folder) and insert it into
the camera. Then follow the procedure below:

1: Select the “General Settings 2: Select “Service”. 3: Click “Check for Update” and
Menu” from the main menu. select the file “X1D_II_50C_
v1_0_1.cim” from the list.
Finally, click “Update”.
