This I believe…

Student First Culture. Educational leaders

and educators consider the well-being and
success of students the fundamental value in
all decision-making and actions.

Build Relationships. Educational leaders

should build strong relationships with
students, educators, and stakeholders.

Character. Educational leaders should enable

students and educators to understand, care
about and act on core ethical values to be
successful citizens in their community.
Model Respectful Behavior. Educational
leaders should listen to and learn from
educators and work collaboratively to develop
solutions to issues that are affecting both
students and educators.
Transparency. Educational leaders should
clearly explain their decisions and not rely on
educators or the community to guess as to
what the educational leader's intentions are.
Professional Development. Educational
leaders should develop meaningful
opportunities for professional development.
Engaging educators by providing time for
educators to share and discuss their ideas.
