ADJUSTING GAP VOLTS

The following is a step by step procedure to be used in the event that it becomes necessary to replace or
readjust a Turbo Air 2000 vibration probe.

1. Connect digital volt meter (DVM) on the Bently transmitter between "common" and "prox out".
NOTE: If equipped, you can monitor the same signal at the "BNC" test jack. See Figure 1.

2. Install the vibration probe into the gearbox seal assembly. NOTE: Figure 2 shows the original TA2000
probe design and Figure 3 shows the enhanced design.

3. Lightly tighten (finger tighten) the cap screw. Verify the gap volts at roughly 12 VDC.
a. If more than 12 volts, screw clamping block higher up the probe.
b. If less than 12 volts, screw the clamping block lower down the probe.

4. Tighten down capscrew until the probe is gapped at 5.0 VDC (+ 0.25 VDC).
