1. I understand that academic reading has some forms such critical

reading, reading for pleasure, reading for quick reference, simple
reading, extensive reading, intensive reading.

2. Academic reading requires the learners to Be both fluent and critical

readers.

3. There are some skills that we can use in academic reading such as

- summarising

- being an active reader

- you can not read everything on your reading list because your reading
list is going to be very long

- identify simple facts presented in written text (literal comprehension)

- make judgments about the written texts (evaluative comprehension)

- inferential ccompehension

- skimming, scanning.

4. Previewing is strategy that readers use to recall prior knowledge and

set a purpose for reading.
5. Academic reading is quite difficult to understand since we have to
read every article on your reading list and we need to learn to read
quickly to find relevant sections.

6. Reading one paragraph we should be able to understand the purpose

and purpose of the paragraphs that we read.

7. Academic reading is quite different from simple reading and ect.

8. May be many people do not like reading academically because

sometimes reading can make people feeling bored.
