February 5, 2020 ‘To Whom it May Concern, ‘Miss Kyla Stroh was a Medicine Hat College student teacher that worked in my grade. ‘three homeroom from November to December of 2019, During this time, Miss Stroh proved to be an organized, hard-working and devoted teacher. [Miss Stroh taught o number of different subjects during her month and a half long practicum. She was alweys very well organized and planned in advance, Her lessons were well developed and thought out. She was also very adaptable and dealt well with the changes that often occur in our school timetable, One of the subjects she tought was Religion, which isa subject area that she has a lot ef knowledge in. She was very confident in explaining things to the students. Her lessons were well thought out and she. really worked to find ways to share her own knowledge and experiences with the students, She was able to take the content and relate it toa story about her own life, in words that ‘the students understand, Miss Stroh is able to think in the moment, If alesson is not going as she has planned, she is able to adapt it, change it or reword directions and modify in order to achieve the desired outcome, [Miss Stroh has @ strong presence in the classroom that allows her to keep the attention and focus of the students. She was very clear and concise in her expectations for behavior in the classroom. She is paying attention to all students in the classroom and their needs. ‘She finds ways to have students stop what they are doing in order to listen to the next direction. She waits until all students are ready before she begins instructions, She redirects students as needed, During student work time, she often plays music in the background to help focus students. ‘Miss Kyla Stroh possesses the skills and attributes that will enable her to be an excellent ‘teacher and I believe she would be a great addition to any school staff.
