Labour court:
Labour Courts are the govt. Judiciary body which rules on the disputes and matters related to labour and employment.
Functions:
(a) Labour court functions is the investigation of trade disputes under Industrial Relations Acts, 1946-2015.
(b) Investigation of Labour court held on the request of Minister of Business, Enterprise and Innovation, trade disputes affecting the
public interest, or conduct inquiry on important trader disputes and report on its findings.
(c)Labour court hears the appeals for the recommendation of Adjudication Officers and made a decision under the Industrial Relations
Acts.
(d) It also establishes the Joint Labour Committees and decide on questions concerning their operation.
(e) Registration of Joint Industrial Councils is also the function of labour courts.
(f) Investigates complaints of breaches of codes of practice made under the Industrial Relations Act, 1990.
(g) Labour Courts also gives their opinion on the interpretation of code of practices under the Industrial Relations Act,1990.
(h) It investigates industrial disputes. Industrial disputes are the differences between workmen and workmen or workmen and
employers.
(j) It also examine the term and conditions of employment in a sector pursuant to section 14 under the Industrial Relations Acts 2015.
