A meet occurs daily except Sundays when train 19 arrives in Wall Lake from Sergeant Bluff at

5:55 and train 216 arrives from Onawa at 5:58. Train 19 departs from Wall Lake as train 218 for
Jewell at 6:00. Train 216 departs for Carroll at 6:10.

Where are the yard limit boards at Sacton?

Are locomotives for the Wall Lake-Jewell way freight and the Boyer line freight turned on the wye
at Sacton?

Are there two tracks between Wall Lake and Sacton??!!

“Between Sacton and Wall Lake 4. Subdivision 3 ends at Junction with Subdivision 1 just west of
switch of west Y at Sacton, and this track from connection at west end of Wall Lake Yard will be
used by Subdivsision 3 trains exclusively.”

A crossover at Wall Lake would be redundant if the two tracks east out of Wall Lake converged into one
just beyond the limits of the map.

Sacton Station

The station needs a train order office (for trains on Subdivision 1), a telegraph office operated by the
agent, and a train order board. I’m almost positive the station is located in the center of the wye because
the timetable I have notes that the west leg of the wye ends ¼ mile from the station. ¼ mile from the
switch put the station at the center of the wye.
