GENERAL: This Technical Publication covers the Copy Control Interface Kit-A1 (Sales Item # 3726B001AA). This is the current method by which 3rd parties can connect control terminals to current Canon imageRUNNER [ADVANCE devices. This includes cost accounting terminals from Equitrac and other 3” party cost accounting devices such as Entrac as well as Coin Boxes. DETAILS: The signals output by the devices via the CCI Kit-A1 are: + Paper Feed: Signals paper has been fed to make a copy ‘* Paper Size: Signals the size of the paper fed, either Large or Small. (Specification of what paper size constitutes Large is possible in Service Mode) * Color Mode: Signals if the job is BW or Color. (No distinction between Full/Two Color/Single Color) + Enable / Disable: In addition, the Kit has accepts Enable / Disable signals to allow the terminal to lock/unlock the MEP depending on sufficient funds, PIN entry, etc. [These signals are consistent across the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C9000, C7000 and C5000 Series products. [To enable the 3" party device, enable the following, EVEL2>COPIER>OPTION>ACC>CC-SPS vice mode setting.
