PROCESS FLOW DIAGRAM

For the experiment set-up, Chiller tank will be filled with 180 liters water

and the three glass tank with 5 liters each. Cooling of water will begin once the

chiller is started up into a set and varied temperature. For Reverse and Direct

return piping arrangement, valve with indicated RR and DR markings will be

closed to operate in desired arrangement. When a the chiller reached the set

temperature, the water heater will be turn on into same temperature in every

tank indicating that the experiment will be on same load set up or turn on the

water heater into varying temperature indicating that the experiment will be on

varying load set up. When desired load water temperature reached, remain it

turning on the heater thermostat. Start the water up once the pump has been

checked and running in good condition. In same load set-up, adjust the globe

valves into same flow rate each in the flow meter. In varying load set-up, adjust

the flow meter into a flow rate computed using the ratio and proportion of

temperature and flow rate. Record the load water temperature entering and

leaving the evaporator. The experiment will be repeated with new set-up

conditions.
