How to Jump a Battery 
 

1. Park car with the dead battery next to the car used to 
jump the battery 
2. Turn off both cars 
3. Clamp one end of the positive cable to the dead 
batteries positive clamp 
4. Connect the other end of​ that cable to the other 
battery’s positive clamp 
5. Connect one end of the negative jumper cable to the 
negative terminal of the good battery 
6. Connect the other end of the negative cable to 
another metal surface away from the battery on the 
vehicle with the dead battery (do not touch the two 
ends of the cable together while doing this) 
7. Start the jumper car’s engine 
8. Wait 2-3 minutes and then start the dead car 
9. Disconnect the cables in reverse order of how you 
connected them 
10. Keep the jumped car running for 30 minutes to 
recharge the battery 
 
 
 
 
How to change a tire 
1. Park car on a flat surface, put on the emergency 
brake and hazard lights 
2. Remove the hubcap and loosen the lug nuts with a lug 
wrench (do not take them off yet) 
3. Place a jack underneath the car at a sturdy part of 
the frame. Turn the crank at the end of the jack by 
hand until it contacts the frame. 
4. Add the jack handle for leverage and cranck the 
handle until the wheel is high enough to remove the 
tire. 
5. Remove the lug nuts from the wheel by turning them 
counterclockwise (keep them in the hubcap to 
prevent them from rolling away). Remove the flat 
tire and lay it flat. 
6. Line up the spare tire with the wheel studs and place 
it on the car.  
7. When the wheel is one,replace teh lug nuts and 
tighten them by handat first, then with lug wrench 
until firm resistance 
8. Lower the jack until the wheel is on the ground 
9. Tighten lug nuts all the way 
10. Drive slowly until the spare tire is replaced
