Outside Reading: Google Slides Presentation


I. Introduction:

You just finished reading an outside reading book. We’ll have several assignments, but first, you’re
going to tell the class about what you read.

Read these directions—they’re clear and easy-to-follow.

II. Organization:

Slide #1: Mention your name and the title of the book. Provide a picture or two.

Slide #2: Tell us about the author of the book. Give a picture and some interesting information.

Slides #3 and #4: Provide a quick summary of the book. Get us interested in the story, but don’t tell us
the ending! (We might want to read the book ourselves!) Include some pictures.

Slide #5: What’s the main conflict, or problem, in the book? Don’t forget about an image!

Slide #6: Pick one character in the story. Why is this character important or interesting? Explain.
Select a picture or two.

Slide #7: What’s your opinion of the book? Explain.

III. Presentation Rubric:
