Georgia Youth Work Permit Process

Minors under 16 years of age require a Youth Work Permit, also called an Employment Certificate, to be legally employed. To obtain a permit, the minor must complete an online or paper Work Permit Data Sheet with personal information. The completed sheet is submitted to the issuing officer, Mrs. Anitra Williams, for permit issuance. To apply online, the minor follows steps to submit their information and receive a security key to share with an employer for the employer section. Alternatively, the minor secures a job and completes section A of a paper data sheet for the employer to fill out section B before submitting to the issuing officer.
