EXT. SHOE STORE - MID DAY

TIMMY is a ten year old boy from a poor family.

He is standing in front of a shoe store in his town, wearing

old clothes and shoes. TIMMY stares at a pair of shoes and
doesn't move at all.

INT. INSIDE THE SHOE STORE

JAMES is standing behind the stand, selling shoes to

clients. He spots TIMMY and watches him for a while.

glances at JAMES and he smiles.

JAMES places a hand on the boy's shoulder and leads him

inside the shop to choose a pair of shoes.

at another pair of shoes.

We can also see inside the store.

2.

JAMES sees him and notices that he's wearing the old shoes
again.

JAMES is about to go to the boy but a client stops him. The

man buys a pair of shoes and goes out to the boy, giving it
to him.

TIMMY grabs the bag with the shoes and starts walking.

JAMES takes a look around to see there are no more clients

and hurries to close the shop and follow TIMMY.

EXT. ON THE STREET

TIMMY is walking around the streets with the bag of shoes in

hand and JAMES is following him.

TIMMY takes a few turns and ends up in the poorest

neighbourhood in town. JAMES keeps a longer distance and
watches what's going on.

EXT. IN THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

TIMMY goes near two boys about his age that are in
wheelchairs. We can see JAMES in the distance, watching
everything.

TIMMY greets his two disabled mates and kneels in front of

one of them. He takes out the pair of shoes and puts it on
the disabled boy feet.

BACK TO:
JAMES - SAME TIME.

JAMES sees what TIMMY has done and a tear falls down his
cheek. He turns around and rushes back to the shop.

CUT TO:

INT. INSIDE THE SHOE STORE

JAMES unlocks the door and enters the shop. He picks a few
pairs of shoes and puts them in boxes and bags.

JAMES rushes back out, locking the door.

EXT. IN THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

TIMMY is sitting on the ground, next to the two boys,

JAMES arrives and TIMMY gets scared and almost runs away but
JAMES picks up the bags with shoes and smiles at him.

JAMES takes out all the boxes and lets the boys choose the
ones that they like.

TIMMY picks a pair and so do the two other boys.
