COMPREHENSION - Mahathir's House

Mahathir Mohamad lives in a semi-detached house in Putri Jaya. It is
a big house. It has a living room, a dining room, a kitchen, three bedrooms,
two bathrooms and a car porch.

    The living room is very comfortable. There is a sofa set with a round
coffee table in the rooms. The television set is placed at one corner while a
rack is at another corner. Between the television set and the rack is a piano.
Mahathir's mother decorates the living room with indoor plants and a
carpet.

    The dining room is just next to the kitchen. There is a table with six
chairs in the room.

    Mahathir's parents sleep in the last bedroom while Mahathir sleeps in the
second bedroom. The two bedrooms share a bathroom. The furniture found
in Mahathir's room is a bed, a cupboard, a writing desk and a chair.
Mahathir's room is air-conditioned. He does his studies and homework in
his room.

    Mahathir's mother plants some fruit trees and flowering plants in the
garden. During the weekends, Mahathir helps his mother to prune the grass
and clear away the dead leaves.
