This case contradicts the view that personality is largely genetically derived. Kozlowksi was an
truthful, easy going and meticulous person. As he countenanced charges, the words "respected
and feared" described Mr. Kozlowski. His character vary was in reaction to the other personality
determinants - environment and situation. To be successful, Kozlowski had to adjust to the
corporate environment and situations.

Some say that ethics are kept in the shelf when people are under pressure. Corporations would
be effective to provide ethics training to help shape the behaviors of its employees. Employees
might not fully understand what͛s ethical or unethical, and if there were no rules and
procedures employees might take benefit of the situation and behave in an unethical ways that
contradicts with the organization͛s goals and objectives.

that people need motivations to achieve the organization goals. Kozlowski's greed is what made
the growth of Tyco. The decisions made were motivated by his inspirations to be the best for
the company and Kozlowski.
