Dear Sir,

As per our conversation during your visit to IIT-Kharagpur regarding summer internship
for 4th years, I am sending you my resume.

I have already undergone an internship of 2 months (May-July 2006) in Microsoft India

Development Centre, Hyderabad where I have successfully completed the following
projects:

• Development and demonstration of the proof-of-concept of desktop-backup by

porting Microsoft Data Protection Manager (DPM) to Windows XP operating
system
• Analysis of the scalability of the DPM Engine with respect to the desktop
backup scenario
• Formalization of the Desktop Backup Support for Windows XP in DPM, along
with setting up of automated test cases

I am also currently involved in my B.Tech. project “Designing an unified P2P protocol

for optimizing file sharing and real time data transfer” which involves analysis of the
proprietary protocols of KaZaA and Skype by reverse-engineering, and designing of a
novel P2P architecture that unifies and optimizes both the services, file transfer and
internet telephony. I shall be publishing a poster based on my ongoing work in the
International Conference on High Performance Computing 2006 in this December.

Besides this, I have developed a server-client based distributed software that has the
capability to simulate the exploration of an unknown surface by multiple
autonomous robots. This software was used to conduct a software competition, Mission
Mars as a part of Kshitij 2006, the prestigious Techno-Management Fest of IIT
Kharagpur.

I would be very grateful if Google can offer me an internship for the period May to July
2007. Please find the resume attached.

Looking forward to your earliest reply.

Yours sincerely,
