Digital Portfolio

What is the topic of my digital portfolio? Your portfolio will be a reflection of all you have
learned in level 4. You will choose five artifacts and write about how these artifacts represent
how much you have learned.

What are the five artifacts? You have freedom to choose assignments and activities that
represent these five categories:
1. Your best writing example
2. Your best speaking example
3. Your favorite reading
4. Your list of top 10 vocabulary that you learned
5. Your goals for level 5 and areas you want to improve in

Do I have to include a copy of the artifact? Yes. Include each artifact as a page, slide, or
image in your portfolio.

Do I need to explain each artifact? Yes. For each artifact, write a description explaining what
you chose, why you chose it, and how it represents what you learned. Descriptions should be
one paragraph in length (at least three sentences).

What platform should I use to make my digital portfolio? You choose. Be creative! Explore
a new digital tool or choose one that you think would demonstrate your portfolio in a unique and
creative way. Some suggestions for platforms include Prezi, PowToon, Weebly, Google Sites,
Adobe Spark, Storyboard That, etc.

When is my portfolio due? Final exam week.

What percentage of my grade is the portfolio? 20% of your total grade in the course.

How will I be graded? Your teacher will use a rubric that checks for quality of reflection, clarity
of ideas, vocabulary, grammar, and creativity.

How do I get a good grade? Spend time reflecting on your learning. Think about assignments
or activities that were challenging, new, fun, or helpful. Think about how you met your goals or
what you’re still trying to improve. Write about these ideas. Choose good artifacts that represent
your learning. Think about how you can creatively show your ideas in your portfolio. Ask your
classmates and teacher for feedback during the process.
