This switch was developed to offer increased durability and lower cost to the user and is a product improvement not subject to campaign. A new, wiring harness, using a plug-in electrical connector (Fig. 1) and diode, has been developed for the new switch. The electrical quick-connector ensures a weather and vibration proof connection while the diode prevents the switch contacts from being damaged by induced voltage spikes. The diode requires the use of a ground wire. Note: The new switch must be used specifically designed to be used with a th the new wiring harness. This switch was liode and ground wire.
