Pollinator Presence
Developed by Kaylynn Wohl, University of Oregon

Grab your journal, and grab your pencils. We’re going outside! Spring is the perfect time of year
to spot as many hard working pollinators as you can. But first, get to know the pollinator species
listed below by researching the differences between them. Take notes on how to spot the
difference between the types of bees. What is their bee-havior like in the environment? Look up
images of hummingbirds, bats, and butterflies in your area.

Within a 30 minute walk, how many points can you score with the point system below? Track
how many pollinators you can find, and then add up your score.
