“It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but

the one more responsive to change.”

– Charles Darwin

This quote from Charles Darwin, the father of evolution, is a particularly helpful
reminder for anyone who lacks the confidence to go out and pursue their dreams. Many
of us get resume-envy, and anxiety about whether or not we’re up to task when it comes
to the things we really want to accomplish in our lives. However, in the event of cold
feet, a stagnated career and the fear of failure, it’s important to look into our personal
past, and ask ourselves: Have I been capable before? How was I able to come back when
I was in a really tough spot last time? Who have I become because of the hardships I’ve
had to endure? Once you recognize that you are a human being who is able to bounce
back (as our species have suggested that we’re quite good at), you become much more
encouraged to find your most ambitious path. You may not be a wiz at all of the Adobe
Suite or be able to run a mile without running out of breath, but it doesn’t matter: you
have already proven to yourself and to those around you that you have the essential
mechanism that allows you to learn new skills and weather whatever comes at you. You
can be responsive to change.

It is not the strongest or the most intelligent who will survive but those who can best
manage change.

I’ve never heard such strange claims. A big part of being intelligent is being adaptable.
Learning new skills, solving complex problems.

As such, the most intelligent people are almost always gong to be the most adaptable
people.

That being said, not everyone that is intelligent will be able to adapt to all changes. They
may not have the physical needs to adjust, or they may lack certain skills others may
have already.

Intelligent people generally love to learn, and expand their horizons. So not only are
they able to learn quickly, and adapt, but usually have a wider set of skills to employ
right away.
“Change is the only constant thing in this world. “

Just like seasons, life and people changes too. We get things the way we like it
and then something beyond our authority bumps you off. We gain friends, lose a
few. We grow up and learn things you never thought we would know through
our journey. We will travel a pathway with curves and intersections, and that’s
where we will meet new people. But not everyone we will meet will stay with us
through out. It slings everything good in front of us and then takes the rag under
our feet only when things are doing great.

Every obstacle we have been through will change us in some way. Every person
we will meet will change us. It’s our job to decide how. Live the life we want to
live, because we will never know when our time is up.

Change management is a complex process and requires serious attention as well

as involvement from the management and people from all levels, in order to
achieve a meaningful or a progressive transformation across various levels.
For being ahead in the competitive race and gaining a winning edge, organizations have
been focusing on expansion of business worldwide, achieving excellence in processes
and operations, implementing innovations in technology and identifying/developing the
right talent. The fast changes which have taken place and the way in which this has
affected the strategies, people, policies and processes in an organization, it has
become all the more imperative that organizations clearly establish a well-defined
change management framework for realizing the strategic objectives. Change is
inevitable and it can only be managed, failing which the organizations may cease to
exist.
