Name calling

1- is the use of derogatory language or words that carry a negative connotation


when describing someone who is against the source (Lee & Lee, 1939). This technique
attempts to arouse prejudice by labeling the target as an entity to dislike (Lee &
Lee, 1939). This is also seen as a tactic to engender negative attitudes towards
out-groups or populations that are seen to disagree with the propagandist�s view.
2- This technique is identified as giving an idea as a bad label, which can make
audiences reject and condemn the idea without examining the evidence. Also, it can
be classified as the usage of insulting language or words, which bring a bad and
negative implication when describing an enemy.
